At AIXTRON, we have set ourselves the goal of anchoring sustainability more firmly in the company. Accordingly, we are focusing on improvement measures in the areas of Environment, Social and Corporate Governance.
AIXTRON's achievement to become climate neutral in 2019 is an example.
In order to reduce the CO2 emissions of vehicles leased or purchased by AIXTRON, we have established the following company car policy.
From January 1, 2020 onwards, all new vehicles leased or purchased by AIXTRON worldwide shall be either plug-in hybrid (PHEV) or electrically powered (EV) vehicles.
In the event that no suitable PHEV / EV is available in a particular region or for a particular application, exceptions are to be explained and will only be allowed with Executive Board approval up until December 31, 2022.
